I feel so EMO-ish

I feel so EMO-ish!

Okay! Fine! For the last time, I admit I was an EMO! I was Emo. Got it?

So, notice I marked the word "was" on bold- meaning: past!

But somehow, I still feel like emo-ish sometimes! I kinda feel rejected and out of this place and the only thing that can understand what I'm feeling is.. 'myself'. It's pretty sad! Sometimes you look like you fit in and everybody adores you and everybody makes a good friend of you but then, something is simply invisible to the naked eyes of everyone. Something where only myself can feel and understand. I think it's the feeling where you feel so damn insecure of all the good things happening to the people around you; of all those stupid impossibilities and of all those damn pretty stuffs! No matter how hard I try to be one of them, I just can't.


I think another reason why I feel so emo-ish these days is because of being addicted of wanting something unattainable. It's dreaming of the impossible. It's dreaming of him. This stupid infatuation really suck! But I just can't get my stupid heart out of it. I wonder why I will most likely chose to be in front of the computer everyday than to flirt on bunch of stupid looking guys on the neighborhood (-which I'm not really going to do!). This stupid admiration of this Mr. Peter Pan is creating a new addiction within me! I just don't know how long this feeling will last. I hope this will not stop. I hope the feeling won't stop. But the addiction? I don't know. Whenever I still have this feeling, the addiction will always be there! I like the feeling of admiring him.. but not the addiction!

I feel sad not being able to talk to him. I'm crazy! I feel insecure of the people who most likely belong to his kind. I know I'm stupid!

Travessia

I was listening to variety of music on youtube when I suddenly remembered one of our "pas de deux" in Ballet.. I really don't know the title of the song.. I only knew that it was talking about bridges.. Recently, I have heard Sitti Navaro a Filipino singer, sang this song. Luckily, I found out that the original title of the song was "Travessia" which means "crossing-over". I'm so much glad that I found it because the song was really nice! But the version was not the same version we had during the dance..

NOTE: pas de deux means "dance for two".. so it's a partner dance and it's somehow romantic! LAWL!

And so I had just blogged a while ago about the Senior Fashion Walk which took place just this afternoon. And for the next Fashion Show, our class, The Juniors will be on the spotlight. Our concept will be 1970's fashion. I need help from the experts! I badly need comments and suggestions! Your brilliant ideas are highly needed! I need to have some ideas on what to wear! We had our Culminating Activity and Senior Elimination Round in Fashion Walk this afternoon. I was not able to eat my lunch on time due to the fact that the whole Junior level was really busy practicing for the dance interpretation contest at 1:00pm. We were all unprepared for the contest. To God's mercy, we bagged the first place in the category! We were all very happy and very much over-whelmed by the results and to our performance as well. We didn't expect things will turn out so fine! What's more? Even one of the judges cried upon witnessing our performance. According to the judge, he was touched!


And for the Fashion Walk, 6 lucky finalists were chosen! Their concept was 1960's fashion! I admit, I was impressed on some of the Seniors. But I was feeling very sleepy and bored as the competition went deeper. I was a bit asleep on my seat as the show went on! I just found my senses back when I heard the a very popular song these days. It was some guys from our class who had an intermission number on stage. I screamed out loud until my throat ripped. Wonder boys! I was the one who gave the whole class that idea! Wonder boys! We all screamed! They're the cutest ever! oh! How I love them!

Now, for the second time, I was deeply astonished by this Piere guy. He's so much friendly and I never expected things will be great as what is happening these days. He's so much talented. And as a matter of fact, he's really so down to Earth.

For the first time ever, I have received a personalized New Moon comical drawing from Piere! And he made it himself! I was very much happy that I would like to run towards him and give him a massive hug! Saying millions of thank you through internet will never be enough to send my greatest gratitude to him. It was a very nice piece of art.. and it has my name written on it.. which made it very special. I will never ever forget Piere.

I'm currently bored and got nothing much to do and so I decided to write a blog about my newly found friend from Italy.


I was just surfing around Facebook when I was invited for a friend request by the name of Piereluigi Diana. He's Italian and He's been looking for English people to improve his English. But unluckily he found me and I am not American, at least. But I'm glad I could speak English very well and It's a pleasure to be able to help someone. Aside from helping, we can also gain friendship! I am very much pleased to have friends from different countries.

Pain

So yeah! I just had my "dental braces" the other day. And I was glad I finally have it! I was really excited and very much delighted. I had my appointment with the dentist at 2pm but I was entertained at around 3pm! It took us 3hours to finish the whole thing.

Several hours after, I felt pain on my teeth! I was really teary-eyed. I didn't expect it would hurt this much! My teeth are under the adjustment stage. I simply hope the pain won't last longer. Damn pain! I was not able to enjoy a pizza after our Ballet class with my ballet mates. It hurts even when I'm eating. And I'm currently starving to death right now. My stomach has been growling for hours, but I just can't enjoy my meal! Damn pain!

okay! so here's the story.

I know it's kinda weird blogging in the middle of the night. And it's kinda making me nervous right now blogging at this period. I might get caught by one of our house members wide awake and still facing my ass on the computer. But I just can't find my way to the dreamland and I thought that maybe blogging my feelings would help me out! I have been crying for these past few minutes. I'm currently nervous for tomorrow's Periodical Examination in our Folk dance. I was not able to supply the required costume for our exam and I hate to fail any tests. I'm currently having a tough relation with my mom- and as of now, I hate her! She has been the most supportive mom ever on my elementary years. But now, I don't know what happened to her that she's losing that attitude. She's been unfair to me and her treatment was really different. I hate her!

I just hope that things would fall in place tomorrow!

escaping the impossible!

We can never run from reality! Even how hard we try to escape from it- even if we cross a mountain and swim the depths of the ocean, we can never escape from the fact that reality is reality! Time will come we'll just get tired from running. Better if we just take the courage to face the consequences of reality. Better if we look at the positive and negative sides. Better if we just widen our perspective and learn from our mistakes.

I have been driving my life for 14 years since the day I took my first breath on the year 1994. It feels odd to escape from some things. "I have been escaping from my obligations and responsibilities." I'm one of the ordinary girls who's not only oblige on her academic standings. I'm not the typical-school-girl-and-the-typical-girl-next-door type but I'm the busy-as-a-bee-school-girl-who-doesn't-focus-only-on-her-studies-but-also-in-her-arts-activities. yeah! that's it! Kinda beyond the normal teens who are free to go out on Friday and Saturday nights, bond with their peers. I have a lot of obligations at school and in my dancing career. There was one point where I want to give up this career. Sometimes, I just wanna feel normal and relaxed. Just like the normal teens. I don't want to be pressured in both fields. I want to feel free!



But I just don't know how to!

Liar! Liar!

Calling all Liars!

Researchers say liars often appear to be telling the truth. They say it's best to focus on what people actually say and ignore body language.

Forget what you've learned from years of watching cop shows on television. Liars do not have trouble making eye contact. The guilty don't fidget. Culprits don't sweat more. As a matter of fact, research indicates that innocent people tend to be more nervous when they are being questioned because they are very intent on proving that they didn't do it. Liars come in with a script in their heads.

"A lot of different signs of anxiety are mistaken for signs of deception," says Kevin Colwell, a forensic scientist at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven. He says research shows that even for the innocent, the whole tenor of an encounter with police can make it harder to remember things accurately. "In interrogation the whole goal is to convince somebody or trick them or coerce them whatever it takes to get them to confess to the crime."

Colwell is on the forefront of a movement to change that mindset and convince law enforcement and other interrogators that encounters with suspects are opportunities to get information, not just a moment to elicit a confession. The concern is that if an interviewer is already convinced that someone committed the crime they are investigating, interviewers stop searching for other answers. And that can lead to mistakes.

Seek Information, Not a Confession

This approach, of seeking information rather than a confession, is already well entrenched in Britain. Back in the mid-1980s, after a raft of cases involving false confessions, British courts ruled that officers were no longer allowed to use aggressive techniques — such as lying about evidence — to goad suspects. Interrogations in Britain also have to be taped. This has changed the way UK officers interview a suspect. They chat them up, and start by asking questions to which they already know the answers. The police in Britain say this shift in strategy hasn't reduced the number of confessions.

Colwell and a forensic psychologist at National University in La Jolla, Calif., named Cheryl Hiscock-Anisman have been doing this kind of interrogation research for years. As a general matter, they have found that people who are making up a story prepare an airtight, simple script that is easy to remember. People telling the truth have no script because, basically, they lived the story. So they tend to recall unrelated details and often make mistakes.

Colwell and Hiscock-Anisman have been working on a system that draws that contrast more vividly. And they've been taking their theories out into the field.

They are training police officers across the country to look for verbal patterns instead of fidgets. Just weeks ago they sat down with a group at the San Diego Police Department.

Sergeant Romeo De Los Reyes sat in on the session and, initially, was a little skeptical. "We've always learned that communication is 60- to 90-percent non-verbal," he said. "So this was a different approach to dealing with deception."

Now he sees this approach as another tool for his interview toolbox.

Ask a Simple Question

Basically the system asks an interviewer to pay attention to words and verbal cues rather than focusing on non-verbal communication. Hiscock-Anisman suggests interviewers begin with a non-threatening question. "For example, when I was living in Texas and I was running inmates for one of my studies we asked, 'what was the first day like for you in prison?'" she said. She chose that question for two reasons: it was a vivid memory, and it was very likely to get a truthful answer.

"There's no need to lie about your first day in prison, even if you're an inmate," she said.

The first question is designed to give interviewers a baseline of sorts. It gives them an idea of how much detail someone provides when they are telling a story truthfully. Next, interviewers are supposed to ask the person to tell them about the event under investigation. Then they compare the two stories. Does the suspect use the same number of descriptive phrases? Is there the same kind of recall? All these things are very important when trying to turn a gut instinct about whether someone is lying, into something more rooted in specific patterns.

Then comes the harder question, which Hiscock-Anisman says often separates the liars from the truth-tellers. "I say, now what I want you to do is I want you to go back to that time and I want you to describe every single thing that happened but this time I want you to tell me what happened last and work all the way backwards," she said. She laughs. "A liar is going to have a hell of a time, right?"

Try this the next time your teenager comes home late.

The point is, the research indicates that a person who is being honest tends to provide tons of little facts, anecdotal details that you only get from living a situation. In fact, Hiscock-Anisman says she's found that truth-tellers tend to add about 30 percent more detail than people who are lying.

But there are still practical questions on how law enforcement might use this approach. San Diego's De Los Reyes says the system might work with someone who has to decided to talk, but what about someone who is refusing to cooperate? That's unclear. Even so, the San Diego Police Department has asked Colwell and Hiscock-Aninson to come back, to do more training.

Movie Marathon#1

We were watching different films after our first set of the periodical test. The movie "Knowing" caught my interest.

here's the summary of the movie:

In the year 1959, a frightened and disturbed little girl named Lucinda was in school when her class was drawing up pictures for the school's time capsule, but Lucinda drew up a weird system of numbers and even was scratching at the school janitor's door. Now, 50 years later, John Koestler an astronomer and a professor at MIT is at his son, Caleb's school to open up the time capsule and was given Lucinda's system of numbers. When John was looking at the numbers, he quickly realized that it was some type of code that predicted the month, date and year of a specific disaster, and how many people died in that particular disaster. After witnessing a plane crash at Logan International Airport, and saving people from a freak New York Subway accident, John realizes that the last disaster on the code is the end of the world when one of the Sun's solar flares will scorch the Earth. Meanwhile, Caleb witnesses strange people who stalk him, and a little girl named Abby and her mother named Diana. Now, John and his son Caleb along with Abby and Diana must save as many people as they can from the Sun's solar flares while trying to find out about the strange people.

14th of August

Happy 18th Monthsary besties! mii lhub yoo! At last we're already 18 months! Few months to go and it's our 2nd anniversary! I woke up this 2 in the morning and studied my lessons for the upcoming periodical examination later this morning. I sent my greeting via text messaging and YM message. The piggie treat us our all time favorite "Cornetto" which was Choco Java flavor! yum!
We spent the whole afternoon chit-chatting on a lot of stuffs! I had fun!

Today is also the last day of our First Periodical Test. I was glad it's over! Finally, it's over!
As an over-all, I think the periodical test was fine! But right now, I'm crossing my fingers that I may be able to remain to the top of the class! Lord, grant my wish!

LOVE talk#1

"Whenever there is LOVE.. there is always wealth and success"

We were talking about LOVE in our religion class with Nanay Auring. She read a short story about LOVE. The characters of the story were the c0uple- husband and wife, and the three strangers- LOVE, WEALTH, and SUCCESS. While the husband was at work, the three strangers came by to their house. The wife entertained them and asked them in. But the strangers refused her offer for they will be waiting for the husband outside. By the time her husband arrived, she asked the strangers to get in their house. One told the wife to choose who among the three of them she'll ask to go in her house. The wife consulted her husband. Her husband wanted wealth to come in. But the wife wanted success. Withouth knowing, their grand-daughter were listening to their conversation and suggested to let LOVE get inside their house. The couple accepted the kid's suggestion and asked LOVE to get in. In the end, Weath and Success followed Love inside the house for whenever there is Love.. there is always wealth and success!


I was fascinated by the story for it was really true! I just hope that someday we'll be able to remember this story and will guide us whenever we have lost our track!

The Living Cory

haha! We had just met our Religion teacher at school! My first impression? She's the living CORY! It's not just my impression but ours! Fluent in English, white-complexioned, and there's something within her that makes her similiar to the late President Corazon "Cory" Aquino. Well.. I haven't known her better yet. But I'll post more about her as we get along our session meet-ups every Wednesdays!

Vampire Enemy no.1

Lists of annoying people who keeps on getting into my nerves:

Enemy#1:

I call her " the hydro-headed" rocker. Yeah! She's hydro-headed. Sound weird right? It's a weird word though. But I just can't find the perfect word to describe her. Mean? I don't think so.. She more than being mean. Bitch? naaaw!! still, she's more than that! Hydro-headed! I think I shall call her in that silly name. Hydro-headed, based on my reliable brain power, hydro means water and her head is filled with water that it became too big causing her to become too arrogant!

Enemy#2

The drama-queen. She's the ultimate stage princess and queen of "plastics". Every single moment with her is like having a tupper ware party.

Enemy#3

The friendly-user friendster. She's too good when your facing each other but she's more than your enemy when you turn your backs! She's the good-friend-when-she-needs-something type.


Actually they're not just 3 but more than that! They're the worst kind of friends ever and the worst people ever! I wonder why those kind of people exist! Damn! I hate them!

THE economic downturn hasn't persuaded everyone to pinch pennies. Philippines President Maria Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was at Le Cirque the other night with a large entourage enjoying the good life, even though the former comptroller of her country's armed serv ices, Carlos Garcia, was found guilty earlier this year of per jury and two of his sons were arrested in the US on bulk cash-smuggling charges. Maca pagal-Arroyo ordered several bottles of very expensive wine, pushing the dinner tab up to $20,000.

Blinded by reality

A lot of teenagers now a days are into online relationships where in fact they barely know their so called "mate".

Indonesians falling in love to a British. A British and Filipino showing mutual understandings and a lot more. Different races attract through online connections. The idea of being in love with a different race doesn't bother me, but the fact that you're in love online made me wonder how those teens were able to make it.

I have this online group wherein we role play by using celebrity photos ( some role players use models as their portrayer ). I'm really much addicted to it due to the fact that we get the chance to befriend other teenagers, mostly from other Asian countries and European countries. Some Americans also join this online community. It's really fun! But sometimes, we just can't control the beating of our heart. We tend to get along with our feelings while role playing. We tend to bring the role play acts in our daily life. We tend to like someone not just in role play but also in reality. I have some RP friends who have their mates in RP, and I wonder if they're also mates in RL. Sometimes their role play is just too good that curiosity can't escape from me. " Are they really in love in RL? " Well.. some are obviously "yes'. But my question is "Are they serious? They must be lucky enough to end up such relationship. Are they really in love on the person behind the character? or are they only in love to the portrayer? Is it the fact that they can't have that super-cute-and-super-famous-celebrity-used-by-the-puppeteer that's why they just choose to fall in love to that character just to feel the feeling of having that super-cute-and-super-famous-celebrity as their mate? or is it really the spark which has developed between the two of you that you we're not able to notice that you're slowly falling for that someone and you just can't explain why?


The questions just keep on running inside my brain. Sometimes I just wanna approach these fellas and ask them my questions. *sighs*
